Looking into what weapons I would like to use on my deathknight, I always liked the idea of having my weapons sheathed on my back.
My personal favorites are:
Slayer of the Lifeless with a more DK look, but at start I'm probably going with Dragonscale-Encrusted Longblade
Below is a list of the options I've found for using swords (I'll make another list for axes):
