This week in world of warcraft 24/11/15

Yay 6.2.3 hits the live servers.
Valor farm all over the place, daily heroic dungeon, mythic dungeons, timewalking...
I've upgrade about 40% of my items.
Gorefiend progress: we've had a clear phase 1, reaching into phase 2. So slowly getting there.

On the alt raid we got to xhul, had a couple of upgrades. Dps is slowly increasing.
I've progressed a bit on the legendary staff question chain this week. Got to step 7.

This week in World of Warcraft (17/11/15)

First week as unholy on deathknight. In comparision with others in the guild I'm doing descent dps.
No real progress this week. Last week we went to 63% though (I wasn't there).

I did a hellfire citadel heroic run on my warlock on saturday up untill zakuun.
Only got some loot on Gorefiend though, no luck on the bonus rolls. I got the staff and the necklace

Gold status:
Due to being home for 3 days this week i got some extra gold on doing more garrision missions.
Also got a nice flip in this week on my DK on Argent Dawn:

Update my transmog list to the phatlewt's list.

This week in World of Warcraft 10/11

Well this week I catched up in terms of achievements with the guild, I got my mythic kil'rogg.

I got the class trincket from archimonde on Sunday. So I switched unholy now on my DK.

The warlock got her level 3 garrision and started on the stones for the legendary ring.

This Week in World of Warcraft (03/11/15)

I've spend some gold on several potions of rapid mind. This allowed me to level my warlock faster.
With the help of Helldruid/Damp I got to 88 pretty quick by saturday and finished on Sunday.
Quickly did some TBC raids for t4 Voidraiment transmog. Got the Gruul's Lair and Magtheiridon's tokens but no luck in Karazhan.
Would like to get the staff from Curator to match the set.

On my deathknight we killed 5 bosses (archi, mannoroth hc, first 3 mythic) pretty quick on Wednesday.
Sunday we finished of Gorefiend but left us too little time to be able to finish of Kilrogg.

Gold situation: Quiet some gold spend on the potions of rapid mind as well as 5 k on fly training for my warlock. The garrison upgrades for my warlock will require some gold on this one as well.

Due to several unfortunates, not much progress on the DK this week. Serious lack of healers on Sunday.

This week in World of Warcraft (13/10/15)

On Emeriss, I got the achievement for killing Mythic Kom rog on my deathknight.

Got a neck, Choker of Sneering Superiority  from Tyrant Velhari

Raided with my warrior on the normal alt raid on saturday, I've gotten a couple of items:
Flanged Gasket 
Crimson Throatgrabbers 
Legplates of Iron Wrath 
Calamity's Edge 

I leveled up my warlock Cursed quite a bit, from 29 until 53. I leveled my tailoring profession a bit leaving me with an excess in shirts...

On Argent Dawn, I've joined my first RP event.
It started a half hour late so i could only stick around for 25 minutes. Saturday seems to be the off day for RP so not many showed up. Got a small introduction in how to perform..

Emeriss

Seagulls (my guild) progressed on Iron Reaver and eventually we killed him on Sunday.
Today, the guild killed Kom'rogg as well, placing us as 3/13 Mythic!
Unfortunately no killshots.

I've also gotten quite some upgrades for death knight, Curs, during the raids:
Wednesday:

Argent Dawn

After reading several threads on reddit about a better community and a more lively world on RP realms, I've decided to create an alt on such server.

I started a new death knight, called Curseh, on Argent Dawn,  She is level 62 so far.

I've joined up an big (active) guild called The Cenarion Heroes, however I've yet to join in on one of the RP events. I might even be a bit to low on that.


I want to start listing my earnings per week howeverI forgot to take a screenshot from Accountant this week.

This week on Outland with Curs (11/12/11)

Today The Cursed got to level 20. The daily cap is now gone onward to the 25.

 Earlier this week we had another achievement: Well of Eternity Guild run.

I did the new boss, Azibal, in Baradin Hold on my Death Knight, pretty easy fight. Not much special about it just another tank & spank fight and get out of the whirlwind.

No interesting drops.

I also did the second part of the Dragon Soul raid on my Death Knight with the raidfinder. Terrible... Moonkin druids needing on a strength trinket...

Anyway I got to see the content I suppose.

I did a normal run on my Shaman with Ättestupan in Dragon Soul. Got a pair of new gloves. Warlord Zon'ozz seemed to hard for our poorly geared alts. Guess we got some gearing up to do first.

In other news: Swtor will be released on 15th December, instead of 20th in Europe so I'll get that a bit earlier :-).

Also the server names should be published tomorrow.

This week on Outland with Curs (05/12/11)

What a week.., as said in an earlier post 4.3 is live.

I did the raidfinder part one on my Death Knight, had to do it in 2 times.
First time the first 2 bosses, Morchok and Warlord Zon'ozz. They were really easy, but they did say it would be on Baradin's Hold level. Unfortunately no interesting loot for me.
The second time I went I had to redo Morchok and Warlord Zon'ozz, and of course now 2 tier tokens drop... I've also noticed a lot of people had to pass on the loot because they already killed it once (you can only get loot from a boss once), so it might be interesting to do it later on the week as more people will have to pass.
The third and fourth, Yor'sahj the Unsleeping and Hagara the Stormbinder require some more coordination.
On Yor'sahj the Unsleeping you got know what oozes you got to kill first and the whole PUG raid got to do it. On Hagara the Stormbinder there is something with lighting that you have to move it over to 4 different points, the raid needs cooperate in a descent way so it jumps from 1 person to another. We did have to redo the lighting part a couple of times on the second occurring because some people screwed up. No intresting loot from these 2 either.
I might record these fights next week if I don't forget it.

Yesterday, Sunday, I got asked by a friend to join in for Madness of Deathwing on a normal raid (hence this post on Monday). This is the last boss. We got close on the 4th arm, but we didn't get there unfortunately.

As you might have noticed on the screenshot I switched out my Tier10 Shoulders for the new healing ones from the dungeons. I'm now going for the dungeon "set". I read yesterday that the gloves are missing for the healing set so I might go with the tanking. Also I've missed out on the boots because of a quest reward I took the most valuable one, not looking at the items really...

I also got 2 swords,Treachery's Bite from the new dungeons (probably the only 2 intresting drops for my DPS set). Got some Tanking upgrades as well.

On my Druid I decided to quit feral and go boomkin to eventually evolve to resto. I did a couple of the new heroics on this one aswell. DPS is rather low :-(. Also I tried to heal one, we made it but it was quite tense, I'm going to gear up some more before doing it again.

The auction lite addon got fixed so easy AH post again.
The idols and scarabs market seems to have collapsed on the Alliance side, where I could make some descent profit before. I think I'll hold off a bit for now, less people will farm it in the future and the items might become in higher demand again.

The gem demand on the other hand is going through the roof. I must have made around 15k gold combined on Death Knight and Druid. With all sorts of gems also the small green quality ones are selling good. Especially the red one going for 40g a piece.

I logged in my Death Knight as soon as I got home to get my transmogrification done a.s.a.p.
As said in this post, I would now go for the Tier 10. I didn't have a belt and boots ready so I took those of the Death Knight's starter set.

Unfortunately my AuctionLite Addon is a big buggy. I have to manually search every item before posting it.
And the AH seems really slow on searching and posting, making it even a bigger pain in the ass.

This week on Outland with Curs (25/11/11)

This weekend another Star Wars The Old Republic beta. This time starting at a reasonable hour on Friday :-).
That being said I won't play much WoW this weekend, so I thought I'd wrap it up already for this week.

I did a Firelands run this week on Death Knight with Elysium (I'm a social in this guild). It's been a while since I raided again, We simply cleared it on normal.
No loot for me though, I guess i won't get those BOE trash axes. And with the next patch just around the corner I don't think it will make much difference anyway.

The Cursed got 2 new achievements this week:

 I'm surprised we didn't get this one sooner. We've been missing a rogue for a very long time.

This week on Outland with Curs (20/11/11)

Not much has been done in the past week. Having some real life stuff going on it was rather calm in WoW.

The Cursed got as expected to level 19.Onto level 20 and no daily limitations anymore.
I won't get to level 25 before the end of the year though as I first hoped.

Today started the 7th anniversary weekend of WoW, getting some extra xp and rep is nice.
So I decided to do a couple of levels on my Mage. I got to level 75 now.

I did an AQ40 and AQ20 run on my Death Knight. Filling in my stock of Idols and Scarabs.
I also got the classic raider achievement, AQ40 seemed to be my last one.

Next week there is another Star Wars: The Old Republic beta. I'll probably try out a Jedi Shadow this time.
The NDA is lifted a couple of days ago, so next week I might add in some screenshots.

This week on Outland with Curs (14/11/11)

My weekly post about what I've done in World of Warcraft for the past week has been postponed for a day.
I had an Star Wars: The Old Republic weekend beta invite so i played mostly that in the weekend.

Last week I mentioned I bought a lot of elementium ore for a very low price so I got some nice profit making.
One week has passed and I made an additional profit of 2200 gold. So total balance is now + 2600 gold.
I still have a lot of gems but with the news of Season 10 ending on November 29th I decided to stop making more gems and take a bit slower until next patch his as the gems will presumably go up then.

Other than that I had another run in Firelands on my Death Knight with Ättestupan. Went pretty smooth, no loot though.

With the patch coming in I decided not to go with the judgement recolor set as earlier said for my Death Knight.
Looking at what I have right now it will be the starter set or the Tier 10 set Sanctified Scourgelord's Battlegear.

The Cursed is closing in on level 19 but I think it'll be for next week's post. We might get some more achievement by the end of next (actually already this) week.

Transmogrification tool by Wowhead

Wowhead introducted a nice new transmogrification tool. It shows all the sets that match your class/armor type.
The screenshots were all taken by default on a human female model. However, if you would like to see it on a different model or from another angle, simply click on set's page and click the "View in 3-D" button on the top. You can change the options in the new pop-up window for race and gender.

I think are some minor bugs still in it. Selecting usable by Death Knight gave me the Dreadnaught's Battlegear set, which is a warrior set of course. Also this set isn't available anymore, however it's still an option for the warriors who saved this set from the old Naxxramas.

This week on Outland with Curs (06/11/11)

It was rather a calm week. On Wednesday I pugged Firelands on my Death Knight rather smooth run, struggled a bit on Ragnaros. Unfortunately no interesting drops for me.
I did got enough Valor Points this week to buy my 4th piece of Tier 12.

I did some heroics on my Warlock improving my gear a bit. I think I can start doing some raids soon on this one.

I got finally on the PTR but can't transfer my own characters only some premades :(. Not that interesting in terms of transmogrification.
I just read that the Darkmoon Faire got onto the PTR now as well. I might have a look at that next weekend.

A guildie from The Cursed was searching for some quest in Mount Hyjal that he couldn't find so he decided to put himself on live stream so we could help him look and explain. Pretty cool, so with his help I decided to look how I could setup a live stream myself. I didn't totally manage it to do, first the quality was bad then it only had a small corner of my screen as stream... I'll definitively look into it get a running in a descent way. I'll make some guide post about it then.

Late Sunday night The Cursed got to level 18. Also got an new achievement, very hard one...

Last couple days i was through my stock of gems on both my Jewelcrafters (Death Knight and Druid). So I was checking the AH a bit for elementium ore and prices were kinda high, 1g70 - 2g+ a piece, I usually wanna stay under the 1g50 mark.
Now Sunday morning I was checking again and noticed 75 stacks at 79s a piece. So I bought them all out.
Friend asked me to do some heroics with them so I relogged, but he had to go afk for a couple minutes. So I checked the auction house again, 312 Stacks at 79s. I got to buy out most of them.

In the afternoon I spend over an hour just prospecting the ores.

I wonder how much I'll get out of it but I'm guessing it wont be disappointing ;-)

This week on Outland with Curs (01/11/11) Midweek part

With Halloween I got 2 extra days off, I had some extra time in WoW as well. So I've decided to add an extra post.

On Monday

I joined an icc 25 hc hoping to finish off the infusion quests on my Death Knight... I got close but no cigar :'(.
Had 2 attempts, first try all went pretty will had 3 bites but it ended in chaos and some mindcontrols.
The second try some people had trouble holding off their dps and I didn't get bitten first and we killed it to quick this time, I only had time to bite 2 people. So better luck next time I guess.

Luckily it wasn't all in vain. I got Scourgeborne Waraxe and Bracers of Dark Reckoning for transmogrification.
This means I've got my wanted axe for transmogrification (as said in this post).

Not only did I get those two items for transmogrification, I also was able to finish of the Glory of the Icecrown Raider (25 player). So now i have a nice Icebound Frostbrood Vanquisher mount.

In the evening I did some raids with Ättestupan.
On my Death Knight I did Baleroc, Majordomo Fandral Staghelm (heroic!) and Ragnaros.

And to finish we did another Ragnaros kill on the alts, on which I came with my shaman.

Today (Tuesday)

Today was rather a lazy day. I did Karazhan this morning on my Death Knight. I really like the instance, the whole setting. I was unable to do chess as Medivh cheats to much ;-) and I wasn't that lucky with his cheats.

The Cursed got to level 16 on Thursday. We've obtained the cash flow guild perk now. Some more gold in the bank weekly. Might buy some additional tabs soon.

We also got Critter Kill Squad, killing 50 critters

I leveled my rogue and my warrior a bit during the AV weekend. About a level each, although it was a lot harder on my rogue because we kept losing... Horde sucks at AV in the 80 - 84 bracket.


Thursday I had the chance to raid Firelands again with my Death Knight and the helm of Alysrazor dropped.
Wearing the earlier in week obtained  The Horseman's Horrific Helmet, I noticed that my item level 365 had more strength than Greathelm of the Voracious Maw (ilvl 378).

Someone made an intresting note on wowhead though:

Cata itemization has been incredibly linear(/bland) so it's a big surprise to see something like this come along. I wonder if it's a bug or if it's going live like this.

This helm is a 365 with the Strength budget of a 384, the secondary stats of a mid-350s, and Stamina of a mid-330s. Given how much better Strength is than secondary stats this expansion, this makes it a ridiculously well-itemized piece and very comparable to 378s.

I've decided to take a closer look (from pve perspective) to the Death Knight ones and try form an opinion about the given choices per tier.

Tier 1

Deadknight Talents Preview: Tier 1 

Blood Boil: could be nice, some extra damage while spreading your diseases, this only useful in aoe situations though.
Corpse Explosion: It requires first a mob to die with diseases before it has any use? Doesn't seem all that useful in aoe situations you mostly already have your diseases spread and the Blood Boil seems much more usefull then?
Outbreak: This one is actually useful in single target situations (most pve bosses). I assume that it works like it does now. I think this one is the most useful one for raiding?

Tier 2

Deadknight Talents Preview: Tier 2

Some defensive abilities to choose from

Lichborne: Seems to be mostly for pvp, if you can switch out as easily as they claim it might be useful on fights where the boss has some fear.
Anti-Magic Zone: A damage reduction for the raid. Could definitively be useful in some situations with heavy raid damage.
Bone shield: If there is some random damage, but no heavy stuff on the raid. This one could be my default.

Tier 3

Deadknight Talents Preview: Tier 3

This seems mostly to be a pvp tier
Death's Advance: Only against someone that is trying to get away from you but it does require you to have used 2 unholy runes so they must have been in range before.
Chillbains: 3 second immobilize and 50 slow on frost fever. Does seem nice
Asphyxiate: I don't really understand how this one works, Does this last till cancelled? Then you can stun someone forever?

Tier 4

Deadknight Talents Preview: Tier 4

Self healing abilities
Death Pact: Nice strong heal but rather long cooldown.
Death Siphon: Deals some damage and heals for 75% of the damage. I think this one is nice to use next to Deathstrike, also doesn't seem to require a rune. I think this will be my choose. Seems most useful while soloing stuff.
Vampiric Blood: Seems tanking talent.

Tier 5

Deadknight Talents Preview: Tier 5

Increased rune regeneration options
Blood Tap: Requires you to actively click the spell. 1 minute cooldown seems long as well. Will build up easily though.
Runic Empowerment: 45% to randomly activate a rune, seems a lot more useful than Blood Tap if it occurs more than once a minute.
Runic Corruption: 100% faster regeneration for 3 seconds after Frost Strike, Rune Strike or Death Coil.
As it is now i do use Frost Strike a lot so this one will be very intresting aswell.

In the end I think will be Runic Empowerment or Runic Corruption will regen the fastest your runes and one will be the cookiecutter choice.

Tier 6

Deadknight Talents Preview: Tier 6

Aoe damage options
Gorefiend's Grasp: Aoe damage and pulling enemies close. Seems like maybe an aoe taunt for tanks?
Remorseless Winter: Aoe damage, I think this one will do more damage.
Desecrated Ground: Aoe damage and immune to CC. Seems more of a pvp ability.

Also in this tier one of the 3 will do the most damage and in pve raid situations there will be a cookiecutters choise
